I love photographing littles, but sometimes they just make me realize how quickly time goes by!
I don’t know how we got here and I’m sure her family is thinking the same thing! It seems like it was just yesterday that we had Lily in pearls climbing all over my cute pink velvet chair and smashing into her first cake.
Yet here we are again and Lily is TWO.
This year looks a bit different for us all but from the view and eyes of a two-year-old, well it’s just another day of exploring all of the new things. I love watching the littles explore during their sessions. Letting a child be a child and just wander in beautiful and familiar surroundings is pure magic.
For them and for me!
Lily is an adventurous little girl who loves being outside and doing all the things! We rocked in the tall grass, we ran by the woodside, we stopped to pick some “flowers” and even got big brother Adam to give Lily a spin/shoulder ride (or four haha).
Lily has the best big brother who is so patient and gentle with her; he is also a lot of fun and Lily doesn’t let him out of her sight. The two are truly two peas in a pod!
I’m so thankful for Adam helping chase Lily and bring these gorgeous smiles. He’s a huge reason this session shot at a distance was such a success.
Mommas, dress your littles up for their sessions and let them roam! I promise you won’t regret it.
SUCCESSFUL LITTLES PHOTOSHOOT TIPS!
- Choosing a location that has minimal distractions is a huge help.
- Have the session somewhere your little one is familiar with and if you do choose a new location, make sure to take them for a visit and explore on your own before the session day. This will help your little one feel much more safe and secure knowing where they are and the photos will speak for themselves.
- Remember to have patience and enjoy the stage that they are in.
- Using Pinterest for inspiration is great planning but remember that it shouldn’t be an expectation.
If you plan and prepare your family and little ones you will absolutely capture amazing moments, faces, and stages of your family.
Enjoy the adventure of Lily who is now a big girl since she’s TWO!
