hi there!

September 7, 2020

There aren’t enough beautiful words that could even compare to this couple, their families, & their friends. I could have never prepared, or imagined, the joy and love they all brought to me in such a short amount of time together.

I had been speaking with Amy, Lyndsey’s mother from the start and we both agreed that the fit was perfect. I was so excited to add another couple, another family to my “perfect match” but, honestly, I got so much more than that.

God works in many many incredible ways, but you guys I am telling you that He had His hands on every inch and part of the journey we’ve shared together and this wedding day.

Everything worked out so beautifully, and after so much waiting on many things… the day was finally here and it was impeccable!

The Bride

My day started with the best hug from Lindsey and ended with the best hug from Curtis, what more could I possible ask for?

The Venue, Trump International Hotel Washington DC, was beautiful in any direction your eye wandered, the staff were all so accommodating and joyous. It didn’t matter who I encountered there, everyone was lovely.

When I met the girls in the bridal suite, there was an instant feeling of love. I was surrounded by a ton of joy and helping hands. As we got through the detail photos and moved on to the portraits before the ceremony, I loved laughing with the girls and asking them questions about all of their relationships together.

I got the best laughs and the best and most sincere reactions. Lyndsey has the same laugh smile that I do and I’m obsessed. It’s how you truly know that it is a sincere happy moment and Lyndsey had the SAME smile all day long.

She was so happy and radiant and that it just overflowed onto everyone that was around her. I later found out through Curtis’ vows, the preacher’s ceremony, & her father’s toast that the main word used to describe Lyndsey throughout her life was LOVE.

As you read earlier before I even heard these beautiful words spoken about her it was a feeling I instantly felt when she hugged me.

Lyndsey, I just love you to pieces and although it was a short period of time I can see exactly what your friends and family have been so blessed to have through each of their time with you. You are incredible and a light that this world needs more of. I can’t wait to see you again hopefully soon for a shopping trip!

The Groom

Curtis had me in TEARS you guys! His vows cut right through everyone in that room. I don’t know how he managed to memorize them and say them without bawling like a baby, but he did.

It was phenomenal to hear him quote scripture and then put into words what that meant to him in seeing their marriage and her as his Bride.

I’m convinced that he should be a romance novelist and tell their story as it continues to grow. I am a HUGE supporter for our war-fighters you guys.

There is nothing more beautiful to me than someone with a servant’s heart that willingly sacrifices so much for so little in return and play it off like it’s nothing.

The word Hero was used a few times to describe Curtis and I just adore the people that he loves who encourage him to continue to be an amazing person and help him grow further.

These families, this couple, their friends… all amazing. I’m grateful for my time with you all and for you making me feel like family. I’m also so thankful for the MANY beautiful moments we captured. As I was going through the images to pick sneak peeks for this blog it was very hard to select just a few (prepare for an overload below) and I just loved thinking back on the moments actually happening that gave us these incredible shots.

I hope you all had the best day ever, I know I did. Thank you for having me!

I’d also like to extend a big thank you to these vendors and their incredible talents and love that they shared:
