Married to my first love, Momma of 2 (Mason and Weston). Dog mom to Tippon. North Carolina born but Virginia lover at heart.

hi there!
I'm arli.

Mr. & Mrs. Atwill | Seven Springs

August 12, 2020

Although plans didn’t go as expected (hello 2020), this day couldn’t have been any more perfect.

When Katie messaged me about the replanning of their April wedding, of course, everyone was bummed. This was the very beginning of COVID, and it was still so new to everyone. There wasn’t a single plan anyone had that wasn’t flipped upside down.

In this case, I have to say, there was a pleasant outcome.

It started with a text from Katie asking me if I had any insight or feedback on a new venue they would be touring… Seven Springs. BOY OH BOY did I have feedback. If you’ve been living under a rock, then you don’t know that Seven Springs is one of my favorite venues, and I’m just incredibly in love with their space. Add in the fact that the Venue Manager is Tracy G., and it’s a match made in heaven. You can imagine my excitement when Katie updated me that they decided to host their wedding there, after their site visit.

I just knew with this couple, the Venue, and Tracy it was going to be an incredible day!

Let me give a shout out to Tracy and her team at Seven Springs because they are FABULOUS and I love working with them so much! These people are truly, truly amazing!

Katie and Bennett had a beautiful day. I don’t recall anything really that wasn’t perfect! The weather was incredible (although hot), the people were a JOY, I gushed over every detail, and we finally made it to the day these two would marry.

I loved hearing the girls chat in the next room about all sorts of talk. They had me laughing about the current events and gossip over famous or once-famous people. It made me think about how fortunate we are to have such loving and caring friends who always make you laugh.

Again, I am all about the memories, so I’m just smitten with them all at this point thinking about the many memories they already share and the ones that they have yet to make. These ladies were so wonderful, and they adore Katie. I’m so glad they were by her side through all of the wedding planning, re-planning, and her gorgeous day.

Bennett and his fellas were the life of the party! These guys looked so handsome in their tux’s and so laid back. I loved watching them all enjoy the day and the company. I, of course, had to request a “bro hug” during their portraits, and they didn’t disappoint… I knew they wouldn’t!

Katie and Bennett’s ceremony was serene and so peaceful. The magnolia tree under the shade was the perfect spot (not just for photo and lighting purposes haha). Each friend and family member there were truly THERE with these two as they exchanged vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

I loved the moment where Bennett, at one point during the ceremony, turned back to look at his parents. Oh, my heart! What a moment to capture, and I am so glad that I did. These families and friends by their side, show all of the love and support they could ever hope for. I’m so thankful for that for them.

The party that followed to celebrate was an absolute BLAST! They chose a live band, and I love that more couples are choosing this option for their receptions. It’s so much fun and a different atmosphere- the dance floor is NEVER empty. I remember asking Katie and Bennett earlier in the day if they were dancers, and they both kinda shrugged me off BUT when the dancing time started… they showed me! HAHA. I loved watching these two together and all of their guests. Also, just to confirm… they are ALL dancers and SO much fun. Audrey and I can’t remember when we’ve had this much fun on a dance floor.

We ended the night with a sparkler exit, and everyone stayed for the fun! We sent the couple off into their new chapter and wished them many many years of happiness and blessings. Thank you, Katie, Bennett, family, & friends for having Audrey and I be apart of your time together. It was truly beautiful to witness and partake in. I’m incredibly thankful for the beautiful moments we captured, and I love that I get to share these with the world.

Enjoy!
