Proposal - David & Helene

My goodness, do I have a session for you!
Helene and David are among my favorite people.

Not only are they so much fun and so laid back, but they’ve given me the cutest baby (Oliver) to photograph!

So, hello, how could they not be!? This story is a bit different than their maternity and family session and I promise it’s so worth reading through!

David contacted me to set up a session for Helene and him with their motorcycle. It’s something they’ve both wanted to do and let’s be honest, once baby gets here it is so easy to put your relationship and each other first.

I loved this idea and was so excited to get started on planning it when David hit me with an exciting BUT.

And out it came…. He had a ring and wanted to surprise her during this session with it. I couldn’t contain my excitement and you can imagine all the eeks and !!!’s used.

We set the date and picked the location and as the anticipation built I can’t tell you how relieved I was when he messaged me and asked if we could possibly move their session sooner, he didn’t want to wait a moment longer than he had to. So we moved the session up, I told a white lie and laid it on thick to hide the suspicion.

We came up with a plan and the perfect moment for David to ask Helene to marry him and she said YES!

Her ring is gorgeous and these moments I got to capture of their excitement for this new love are just heart melting.

David stares at Helene which such love and gets lost in her presence, it really is quite incredible to witness. Helene couldn’t stop showing off her ring (obvi) and trying to figure out the how and when of all that he had planned and done to make this moment come true. These two are quite a match and I’m so excited to see their story continue.

Congratulations to the three of you, I can’t wait to see you again and I’m so so thankful you asked me to not only capture this moment but to be apart of it also.
