It’s funny the things that we hold on too when it comes to “stuff” and over time that “stuff” gets buried amongst other “stuff” or maybe overly organized during that one time you were feeling motivated to purge but got sucked into being side tracked rather than purging. Do you know what I mean? I do my best not to hold onto a lot of “stuff” and I am the type of person that constantly likes to update or swap out styles based on my current mood so a lot of my “stuff” gets organized or just pushed into a closet or in a bin. This week while looking for something I came across a box, a box of thumb drives you guys! GAH! I don’t know if you see where I’m going with this but I’m about to tell you.
On these thumb drives are a few spotty years of documents, photos, receipts, etc. You know when everyone was using thumb drives to clear space on their laptops, or wait, was that just me? The first one I grabbed had a few older wedding images on it and oh I enjoyed going down memory lane going through these. You see, every wedding & every client is different but there is ALWAYS an image, a memory, or SOMETHING that sticks to my brain about each and every wedding and couple. I am lucky in the fact that I have awesome clients so we are friends on social media and keep in touch in one way or another. I LOVE that about my clients. My business is so much more than a name on a list and a dollar sign you guys. I can’t say that enough. I am in this to serve my people and serve them well!
Of course over the last few years my wedding style has grown and even changed in some ways. I did some quick updated editing on these (thank goodness for learning good tips and being educated by wonderful mentors in the editing department). You will see in the photos below my wonderful clients on their very special days. Their details and their MOMENTS. Oh my heart strings with these. Like the one of Elyse getting her wedding gown on and just moments before she saw herself in the mirror for the first time as a bride. Tara and Lars taking a private moment during portrait time which I still captured haha. Cayci and her momma, oh my heart! I LOVE this momma daughter image so much. How about the one of Cayci opening a very special surprise gift that brought the WHOLE room to tears! Mr. & Mrs. Jones as they include their fur babies in their big day and his face when he sees Kellie for the first time! I can’t even deal right now. Pam’s amazing lace gown with the sweetest memory on her floral design. My people are truly amazing.
If you are reading this right now and you are one of my people, I just want you to know how wonderful you are and how thankful I am for each of you. My world is truly greater with you in it. Today I am thankful for things I don’t purge and find years later.
