I decided to start this entry with a quote from a Nicholas Sparks book, because Alex and Abby have the kind of love you would find in one of his books! It is honestly incredible to witness and I can’t be more excited to give you a glimpse into their fairytale wedding! One of the greatest treasures about being a photographer is not only getting to capture special moments..but really getting to walk through life and big events with my clients, who so often turn into my friends.  This wedding was so special for me, because I was first introduced to Alex when I had the pleasure of photographing his cousin’s wedding a few years ago. When Alex’s mom contacted me to shoot this wedding – I could not have been more thrilled!

In June, you can expect an outdoor ceremony to be HOT…but the covered area where this sweet couple said their vows provided just enough protection from the heat and the fireplace they stood in front of was AMAZING! The vast majority of the decorations were done by Abby and her family.. and they did an incredible job, the whole venue was filled with perfect backdrops! When Abby walked down the aisle, Alex’s reaction was priceless! The tears of joy and the look he gave Abby as she headed towards him was the reaction EVERY girl should hope to see on their day.

After the ceremony we all headed into the indoor (and cooler!) reception area. Photographing this wedding was SO easy because of how absolutely stunning everything was, not to mention how lively everyone was! There may or may not have been photographic evidence of the bridal party doing the trex move, which is apparently not out of the ordinary!! The dance floor was packed with people from beginning to end!! Ya’ll, this family is seriously the sweetest, kindest, most sincere and fun families I have had the opportunity to capture! And the bonus? Alex’s brother caught the garter… maybe there will be another wedding I get to capture in the near future?!
