Mr. & Mrs. Vik | June 18, 2016 Wedding

“Above all things, have intense and unfailing love for one another”.
This was the ending to my Matron of Honor speech that I barely got through. Romans 12:10 is one of my favorite Bible verses and to be able to share this with those you love is truly a blessing. In that room as I gave that speech to a best friend, a new best friend, my supporter and cheerleader, family, a loved one, and any other word you want to place here meaning MY HEART. More than speaking these words to the Bride and Groom I hope that the other couples were also listening. Love is not easy, by any means. As I spoke to Tara and Lars during my toast and envisioned all of the ups and downs that have been experienced my tears fell as I relived every one of those emotions. Looking at this new commitment to one another and seeing their future, where others in that room had already been or are in right now or are headed into. The fighting, believing, loving, & strength that it takes. I see all of these things in Tara and Lars.
Weddings are always amazing. This day was more than that. I got to watch the intense emotions of Tara that morning and day. Most of it is a blur with all of the running around and wanting every single detail to be more perfect than any detail has ever been. Somehow her emotion and looking back on that morning and afternoon still sends chills down my spine. Tara and I are not easy people to love, at all. We know this. But when we love, we love harder than anyone could ever imagine. That emotion that I witnessed from her and felt myself was intense love to all degrees. It was the most beautiful and heart filling emotion that one could ever experience. This is a day that I will never forget. Here is how it went.
We woke up that morning and the first thing I did was Snap Chat a video of Tara. I’m always snapping photos or taking videos and I know it’s annoying but I have this need to document everything, so I did. Tara wrote her vows down as I copied my toast. Both of us starting to freak out at this point. The morning was actually pretty wonderful. I wasn’t nervous about giving my speech to Tara and Lars or even speaking in front of all of their family and friends. Tara wasn’t nervous about marrying her one and only and reciting vows in front of everyone they knew. We were both nervous because we love. We love so strongly that we consume ourselves with nerves worrying about the other person. Worrying about their happiness and well being. The only thing that Tara asked for that day was a hug from Lars. She said as soon as she could see him and hug him she would be fine. And so she was.
Tara and Lars did a first look, I’m so thankful for that. We all bawled like babies and that was a moment that was so special and important. It wasn’t needed to be shared with anyone else but them. Lars was taken away as we all knew he would be and Tara felt an instant calm take over her. It was exactly what they both needed. Those sweet photos of their first moment together up close and in the raw will forever touch their hearts. I think after the first look we all felt a little better honestly. Everything rolled out pretty quickly and it was then time for the first look with Tara’s dad. Talk about another tear jerker. Such a sweet moment and I know Ronnie appreciated the thought and moment that Tara planned just for them. It’s always that father daughter stuff that really gets to me. It was beautiful.
The ceremony was amazing. The bridal party and the family did so wonderful and the officiant Angela O’Connor was a peach! We could’t have asked for a better or more beautiful day. As the two of them recited their vows and tears fell you really did feel like they were the only two people in existence. I was surprised that Lars had memorized his vows, but then again that’s just him. He really is so wonderful. As they placed those bands and made a lifetime commitment to one another it was the beginning of their forever, and it was beautiful. Lars took his bride and dipped her for their first kiss and everyone cheered. As they turned to walk away I was honored to witness the two people who I have come to love dearly change right before my eyes. Husband and Wife.
The photos are amazing. I mean really really really amazing. We had phenomenal vendors that put their blood and sweat into this day and I know that Lars and Tara are so thankful, as am I. Every detail was so wonderfully designed and planned. The floral designs, the seating arrangements, the favors, the food, & the service. Everything was top notch and there wasn’t a person there that wasn’t taken back by how beautiful it was. As a wedding photographer I am so lucky to get to work and know many brides with very different styles each year. Tara’s taste is exquisite and romantic. When she asked me to do the photography how could I say no? This wedding was a dream! Amanda Veronee the florist has impeccable taste and design skill. I swear I could photograph her designs all day long! Amanda if your reading this, please let’s get together soon and make pretty pictures again LOL! I think we both fell in love with the venue that day. Early Mountain Vineyard in Charlottesville Virginia does not disappoint. The amazing views, the staff, and the wine! Everyone enjoyed the evening and Tara and Lars had the wedding of their dreams.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone involved in this special day. Family, friends, vendors, & staff. Everyone really was amazing and we were all so blessed to be apart of this day.
I have a few photos… ok a lot of photos to share with you. I can’t pick a favorite so don’t judge me. As always, if you or someone is planning your big day I would love to speak with you about being apart of your big day. I really do love weddings with all of my being. They are so wonderful.
Tara and Lars, I hope you had a great honeymoon. Thank you both again for including me in your lives and I am so excited to watch the two of you continue to grow. I’m excited for the good times that are to come and I’ll be there during the difficult times that will arise. Put your trust and faith in God and you won’t fail. Put your trust and faith in one another and in your marriage and you won’t fail. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and it is true what they say, don’t go to bed angry. I love you both and I hope that you are swooning over these photos just as much as I am. I literally can’t stop looking at them. Enjoy everyone!

Mr. & Mrs. Jones | April 23, 2016

I can’t even begin to describe how awesome these two are. Everything about their wedding day was perfect, It’s like one of those love stories by Nicholas Sparks. You just couldn’t look away from them. The love these two have for one another is clearly all over their faces. I can’t remember or even see in photographs where either of them or their family/guests weren’t smiling. That included me as well. How lucky was I to have a bride that wanted her animals in the photos? A horse and two dogs to be specific. Everything turned out stunning.

This location was a private setting in Amelia, Virginia and the day couldn’t have been anymore perfect. I guess burying the bourbon really does work! I can’t tell you how many weddings I’ve gotten to attend as a guest or even photograph. Although I remember all of my couples and the amazing moments that happen in their day, this wedding will stick out to me for years to come because of a two things that I have never witnessed myself prior. I say all of the time how blessed I am to get to do what I love and have such amazing clients. I really do mean that. I don’t know how I get so lucky for the people that I get to meet and who become life friends. I can’t wait for so many more to come.

This day particularly I was in awe. Like stop in your tracks to pick your heart off of the floor and do all that you can to not cry tracks. Each wedding I make similar conversations to my couples. In an effort to keep their minds off the jitters or some mishap that is trying to be recovered behind the scenes. I always get the ” I’m so excited” or ” I just want to get it done with so I can relax” answers. Which are fine. When I asked the same question to both Robby and Kellie, neither of them knew the others response. There was no worry or talk about nerves or anxiety. No stress of what did or didn’t come out. They clearly both looked at me and asked how the other was doing, and expressed how excited they were to finally see one another. Putting themselves after the other and in genuine concern and love, they clearly were meant to be with one another.

The second thing was the breathtaking reaction that Robby had when he saw his bride for the very first time. In my 6 years of photographing weddings. I’ve not captured one like this before. There wasn’t a person there that didn’t gasp in awe when they saw Kellie or Robby’s reaction. I literally had to set my camera down and just witness and BE with them in that moment. To experience the love on his face that spread to each person there for this woman, his bride. This is what god’s creation of woman for man really looks like. It’s beautiful beyond explanation to me. I was so honored to be apart of their day and to spend time with family and friends who get to witness this day in and day out. I don’t think there was a person there that didn’t fully enjoy themselves and the love that was shared with all.

I hope that you enjoy a few favorites from Kellie and Robby’s wedding. It surely is one that I will hold dear to me for years to come. Kellie, I hope you had a fantastic birthday with your husband, and even more I hope you love your wedding gallery as much as I do!

Let them be little | Mason & Weston

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my precious boy’s with you all so I thought I would give you a session of cuteness. My how time seems to rush by before your eyes. I can remember like it was yesterday when I was laying in that hospital bed meeting each of them for the first time. I never thought I would be able to love them more than I did at those moments. I was so wrong. Both of these little boy’s will never even come close to knowing how much I love them and how grateful I am that I was chosen to be their Mommy. They both teach me so much on a daily basis and I can’t help but to think back on so many prayers where I asked for direction and answers in my life and so much uncertainty that I had, and here are my answered prayers that give me more direction and answers than I could have ever prayed for. I’m a very proud mom and all things that I do are done for them.
We were lucky enough to catch a break in the weather and get some outside time. This truck was the best investment that Santa could have ever made! They love it so much and they feel so independent on the explorations they go on.

Mason is my llittle leader. So sure of everything and willing to learn it all. He shows me how patient I really am lol! Each morning when we start our day he always makes sure that he tells me he loves me and that I am the best Mommy in the world. It’s something that I can’t live without anymore. He understands my heart and although I am the parent and the adult he provides so much for me. To his future wife (thank god this moment is so far away!), be kind and patient with my sweet boy. He will stay true to you and take care of you in more ways than you know you need. His heart will speak directly to yours and he will know what comfort and love you need before you even realize. This boy is strong in every way and when God made him I know that he made Mason to do great things, his purpose here is important. Far more important that any of us could ever understand.
Weston, the baby. He is just that. My sweet sweet kind soul that is sensitive to the core. His honesty and tenderheart are so pure. He teaches me to slow down and think things through. To enjoy each moment we have together, and each moment that I have in life. He’s a goofball and always makes me laugh. He is always putting others first and making sure that everyone is taken care of. He can be a bit of an ol’ goat sometimes but I know that it’s to remind me that he is his own person and he has his own purpose here, one that is not for me to decide or direct. It’s hard with the baby. You want to keep them little as long as you can but the baby… that’s the one that you hold on to with dear life because you know that this is or might be your last chance at a baby. Weston’s future wife will be spoiled to no end. I pray that she doesn’t take advantage of my tender hearted giving boy and appreciates every ounce of him. His heart is so kind and loving it will be hard for her to ever feel like she doesn’t have the world. This little boy saved me. From before he was brought into this world, he saved me.
What I thought was the most difficult time in my life and that I couldn’t and wouldn’t survive, I did. Both of my boy’s (and Jon Alan) kept me strong and pushing forward. When I thought I wasn’t needed or wanted they reminded me every second of every day that I was their Mommy and they not only needed me but they wanted me. Each day they filled my heart up until it ran over and then kept pouring. It’s funny how your taught that you have to teach your kids about life and when they are born it’s the opposite. They are teaching me about life. I am so glad they will have each other to grow old with. I am an only child and live my sibling life through my husband and his 6 brothers and sisters. I’m so glad my boy’s won’t grow up alone and will always have someone by their side, right or wrong! Enjoy my silly, sweet, amazing creations.

PS. We thank god everyday for Jon Alan. Without him our sparkle would be dim. The man that leads by example and teaches them more than I or anyone ever could. Thank you for showing these beautiful boy’s what love and happiness is by treating this momma like a Queen and making sure they see it. For loving them and being the best father they could ever imagine. I love you to the ends of earth, they do to. My prayers are that when they become father’s themselves, they are exactly like you!

Brought to you by Jonas | Jennifer & Shawn Engagement

I seriously LOVE shooting in the snow now! Who would have thought someone that hated snow would grow to love it!? Seriously! Jonas hit Virginia hard this past weekend and I was so excited when Jennifer & Shawn were up for their engagment session in the freezing beautiful snow. Thanks to Jennifer I am now rethinking my hair color. That girl is stunning! We were freezing but I had so much fun with these two. It is beyond amazing when you have clients that love you as much as you love them. I am so excited for their wedding this year (In warmer weather of course). I can only imagine the images they will create in warm weather since I’ve seen them knock it out of the park in freezing weather. I love when my couples interact normally and nerdy with each other, even if it’s at the expense of me. Sometimes I say things that my brain hasn’t had time to process but thankfully my couples know that I mean those things out of the goodness of my heart.
Jennifer has an amazing nact for her “dramatic” pose. This is in an amazing way. This is an editorial look that not everyone (including myself) can pull off. She nails it every single time and looks stunning doing it. Can’t wait to see her in her wedding dress (insert eeks and girly jumping here). Shawn is a great nuzzler as you can see in their images. It wasn’t just because they were cold. The nuzzle pose is a serious and very intimate pose. I love the outcome with each couple because everyone is so very different with it. Most of the time I ask my handsome grooms to whisper something to their sweet wife to be. Sometimes it’s something super quirky and I get belly laughs and other times I get heartfelt swooning. If you ask me both are awesome shots to capture. When my clients are comfortable with one another and especially in front of my camera, it makes for a phenomenal photo shoot. I was not dissapointed by a single shot from their engagement session!
Jennifer and Shawn (Clay as well), thank you so much for coming out in Jonas2016 and knocking it out of the park for your session. Not only just for that but for all of the kind words and actions you have shown to me in our short journey to now. I am so happy to know you both and can’t wait to join you on your wedding day with family and friends to capture your love once again. Below are a handful of my favorite images of Jennifer and Shawn, I hope you guys love these as much as I do. Stay warm friends!

Baby it’s cold outside | Watts Maternity

Good evening everyone! Or good morning depending on where you are reading this. Non-the less I am glad you are here. I can’t wait to share with you this amazing session that we did in the SNOW! I am still on cloud nine about this. I know I have said this before, and I think it’s been a while… I HAVE THE BEST CLIENTS/FRIENDS ever! I’m not kidding. Julie, Bobby, & Cameron are always so awesome to work with and I am elated that they have included me in their journey as they have started to grow their family. I’m blessed beyond measure and they always make me feel so great and make me feel like family. Those are the best kinds of clients who feel more like family, I love that!

Julie messaged me in September. She tried to play it cool by talking about Cameron’s upcoming birthday photos and added at the end “are you still doing maternity sessions?”. REALLY!? HECK YES! GAH was my unprofessional excited response because I litterally couldn’t contain my happiness for the Watts family. Not only because they are beautiful and make beautiful babies but because I really enjoy spending time with their family. I can’t tell you the gender, it’s a surprise. I can tell you that this little one is going to be beautiful and over the moon loved, that is for sure! I told Julie that I was so happy she waited to tell me. I love surprises but I HATE waiting for them. Her waiting to tell me is so awesome because that means that I don’t have to wait long to meet the new baby.

We got rained out for one of our scheduled sessions. Working with everyones schedules and the holidays we decided to wait until January for this maternity session. It is actually perfect because Cameron was a summer baby and thos photos are amazing so this baby being in the winter we knew we would love having another season to show off. Sunday came and the message said : “Just realized it’s snowing outside!”. My heart jumped out of that bed before I could. All I could think was perfect huge fluffy snowflakes on that adorable bump of Julie’s. PLEASE SAY YES PLEASE SAY YES! Those were the thoughts in my head as I responded with ” I am fine with shooting and driving in the snow if you don’t mind snow photos…”. SHE SAID YES! Whew. My brain was racing with ideas and the location, mapping out in my head every inch of Crump Park that I knew and had dreamed of getting snow photos. We totally made them all happen. The Watt’s family is so awesome. They pretty much let my creative mind and talent run where it will and even better… they love it as much as me. I’m telling you guy’s they are perfect! I am beyond exicted for this little one to join us soon and get to spend more time with them. Ok and get in baby snuggles… can you blame me? lol.

Thank you again to the Watt’s family and Julie’s parents the MacKenzie’s for toughing out the snow with me. Julie’s parents are always so amazing during our sessions. Helping with Cameron and getting him to laugh and smile. I adore every one of them. Below are a few of my favorites from our session. I do hope you all love them as much as I do. I also promise that Cameron was totally fine and did not freeze 🙂 Enjoy, and stay tuned for the reveal of baby Watts coming soon.

Family Photos | Fall 2015

It’s that time of year again for updating family photos, mini sessions, and the end of the 2015 wedding season. I do my best to try and fit in family photos when I can but sometimes it’s impossible! I love what I do and I love serving my clients but sometimes that means putting my own family on the backburner and this year I refused to do that. Thank’s to my husband and sister in law we were able to get a few photos and I have some tips for you guys for planning your family sessions that you may have coming up or that you need to schedule. Don’t be like me and skip the family photos, make time and set aside savings if you have to. Make sure you do this, you will thank me in the future for making you!
The first question I get when booking the minis for my families is “what do we wear?”. Well, whatever you want! Don’t all wear the same color or be to matchy. I say to have texture and life in your clothing. Also don’t put the fairest of skin in a lite color. Children ulness extremely blessed with a tan shouldn’t be in white or cream. I know it’s cute on pinterest but it washes kids out and colors are so much more flattering for them. When I chose our outfits I picked out my favorite shirt and an outfit that I felt comfortable in and then I dressed my boys and my husband around me. They don’t care what they wear all they care about is that I lay it out for them and that the photos are quick. No matter what your outfits are remember the reason for doing the family photos. Years from now you won’t remember your outfits or the shopping you did to find them but you will remember the session and fun you had making the memories. The next biggest piece of advice that I can give to you parents is… let life be. It’s great when you can get your 2 year old to sit still and pose for all of those pinterst board photos you picked, if you have this child please take my two and return them once trained lol! The reality is that smaller kids like to do their own thing. They are pushing their limits and what child likes to sit still? Make it fun and work with a photographer that your family is comfortable with. You wouldn’t believe the noises and silly things I do and say to get my kiddos to smile and participate for my clients sessions. IT WORKS! It has to be fun and there has to be breaks… and maybe some promises of candy or treats. Don’t judge me!
When I deliver my families photos my hope as that when they are going through them there is one that we got that mom just had to have from her pinterest board, one that makes their hearts melt, & many that make them stop and appreciate how silly, goofy, serious, and independent their kids are. This is who they are RIGHT NOW. Embrace that! My kids were comfortable since Sissy and Nalan did the photos but they are still goofy as ever. Weston blinks in 90% of the photos and Mason is always looking anywhere but at the camera. There are always funny faces or hands/fingers where they aren’t suposed to be. What matters is that they 1. are doing this for me 2. they are being THEM. I love them for who they are and although a perfect family photo to some may be sitting still and posing perfectly but for me it’s those goofy boys with silly faces and a husband who sticks his tongue out in every third shot. They love me and they showed up and that’s what matters.
Here are a few from our session. Yes we trespassed but we didn’t hurt anyone and the No Trespassing sign was on the building not in the field. We also didn’t go near the train. Again, don’t judge me! Thank you again to my sister in law for snapping these for us! The one of Jon Alan and I is my new favorite!

Audrey & Phillip Kidd | Wedding

I can’t even begin to tell you about this amazing woman. Some of you may know her or have at least seen her in photos photographing weddings and adventures with me. If you don’t know already this is Audrey. She’s more than just my assistant and second shooter. So much more. She is one of the most selfless, sweetest, kindest, loveable women I know. I can remember the day like it was yesterday that she came in unexpectidly giddy and happy. It had been a while since I had seen that person, I missed her. You see, Audrey finds the good in people no matter what circumstance or how other people treat her. She is a true blessing to anyone that knows her. This giddy smiling person that I missed so much had fallen in love. It was written all over her face and practically jumped out of her heart at you. Over the next few weeks it was a constant conversation about this wondeful god fearing man that did everything in his power to keep that smile on her face. I’m proud to say that it’s still there.
What an honor it is when someone you love asks you to capture their wedding day. An even bigger honor it is when it’s someone close to you in the same profession that continuously lifts you up in all that you do. WOW! I couldn’t think of a better gift to give someone I love than the memories of their wedding day and the first day that starts the rest of their lives. Thinking about it moves me to tears. I was so happy to have been included in Audrey and Phillips wedding day. Not only just for photographs but for opinions, planning, and support. I am so happy for Audrey and Phillip, the kids also. What a true blessing it is to have each other. Audrey and Phillip thank you for having me be apart of your wedding day and your lives.
I pray God continues to bless you abundantly and provides all that you could ever want or need. I pray he guides you together as one to love and support one another even in the difficult times that will come. Always remember that you have God and each other and with that the sky is the limit. God bless you both and your family. I love you all and I can’t wait to see your journey together unfold. I hope you cherish these photographs and look at them often. Congratulations!

Sedillo Family | Grant’s Newborn Session

You guys! I had the sweetest little newbie visit me last weekend. He was just as excited to see me as I was to see him! How do I know you ask? Well, he didn’t sleep a wink during his session because he didn’t want to miss a moment of hanging out with me. Those sweet baby blues looking at me the entire time, GOSH melt my heart! I love new parents, and Jake & Sara were so cute during Grant’s session. That new love never gets old. Listening to the coos and watching them all look at each other. My heart was so full. The blanket that Grant is laying on with the deer was no surprise. Daddy’s little man is going to grow up just like him, I can tell already. Sara is going to have her hands full with those two! Grandma made him that blanket and it was just beautiful! Newborn sessions always go way to fast for me. I could photograph newborns and their families all day long. So sweet. Grant, even though he wouldn’t sleep for me was the best baby. Already he’s so curious and loves watching everything. I’m excited to watch this little one grow and hopefully get to document their journey as a family, I’m also hoping for a baby girl in the future! Seriously Sara is beautiful and definitely needs a baby girl some day. Sorry Jake but I guess you and Grant are just going to have to invest in more guns LOL! Below you will find a few of my favorites. I hope you enjoy this cutie as much as I enjoyed spending time with him. Thank you again to Mom and Dad for sharing with me and starting my day out in the most perfect way.

Margaret & Darrenn | A Video Game Themed Wedding

I told you guy’s that this wedding was one you wouldn’t want to miss! I am still pinching myself thinking, did this really happen? What a fantastic fun and love filled day we all had. Wedding days are always hectic, there is always something or someone missing and the truth is… it wouldn’t be a wedding day without a little hustle and last minute things coming up. Everyone played a huge part and did such an amazing job for Margaret & Darrenn’s big day. It truly was a day about love and family. As you can see below, this was not a traditional wedding, there were no mason jars or burlap and lace. She did not wear white. The theme was not enchanted or whimsical. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE all of these styles and traditions, BUT! It’s nice to every once in a while get that ONE couple that stands out and just KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK with being completely true to THEM. The theme was video games. She wore pink and black. They saw one another before their ceremony. There were lot’s of giggles during the ceremony (The best ceremony I’ve ever been to!). The key thing and most important meaning of this day was THEM. They were 100% true to themselves and to their families and friends. I can’t even begin to explain to you the love that exude from Margaret and Darrenn when they are around you. It’s like they have so much it just seeps out of them and is consumed by all that are near them. This couple in my eyes are the epitomy of a classic love story. Their love is like an old soul living the first day they met over and over. The sweetest thing was when Margaret handed me this notebook. I was like, ok what is this. She had told me they would be exchanging letters prior to seeing one another but I wasn’t expecting a notebook full of letters that she had written him through the year. HOW SWEET IS THAT!? Seeing their faces when they read the letters from  one another and hearing them say the exact same thing during reading them was remarkable. To top off this sweet couple and all of the wonderful things about them, Margaret’s grandparents anniversary is now their wedding anniversary. She wears her grandmothers ring also. When you think that a wedding day couldn’t get any more sentimental than that they do it AGAIN! As you walk into the reception hall you would have seen a projector screen and though to yourself ” Sweet photos of them from their journey this far”, NO! The projector was a surprise for her father during their dance. When Margaret was a baby her father recorded the two of them dancing. She played that very song for them to dance to and had the video playing during their dance. Not a dry eye was in that place let me tell you. I could go on and on about how wonderful and fun this couple and their families are but then we would be here all day long! I hope you enjoy my few favorites from their big day! To Margaret and Darrenn, THANK YOU! Thank you for inviting me and Audrey to spend the most wonderful day with you and for sharing your love, family, & friends with us. It was truly an amazing day and I can’t tell you what a blessing you both are to me. I wish you many many many years of good fortune and love. Also thanks for the Mario Brothers theme song that was stuck in my head for a week and three days LOL. I can’t wait to see you both soon and look forward to being apart of your journey and being able to share your story again. Until then my friends.

Phillip & Audrey | Proposal

You guys! I am seriously melting over here right now. Tonight the most amazing moment happened. Phillip asked Audrey to share the rest of her life with him!? How romantic is that? I am so happy that she said YES. He was so cute and nervous, honestly so was I. It is always exciting when someone contacts you and asks you to capture a very special moment and milestone in their lives. My heart turns to mush when I hear the plans and stories of my couples. In this case it was even more melting because of WHO was being asked. This person is very special and dear to me. She is beautiful inside and out and no matter what I know that I can always count on her. The people that she meets and everyone in her life has always known or quickly learns how special and wonderful she is. This person has had a hard hand dealt to her and still has a smile on her face and a welcoming heart through any and everything. This person is so special to me and I trust her so much that I have even entrusted her with my business adventure. That’s right! This special and lucky lady that Phillip gets the pleasure of sharing the rest of his life with is Audrey! If you don’t know who Audrey is let me take a moment to let you know that she is the best assistant EVER! All of my couples love her and she brings so much joy and help to my clients as if they were her own!

Phillip contacted me and wanted to surprise Audrey and plan something out of this world for her when he asked her to spend her life with him. Instantly we started racking our brains and went straight to pinterest. We quickly learned and reminded ourselves how appreciative and simple Audrey is, she loves the small details and thought put into simplicity. So that is what we planned. A beautiful location that she loved and the handsome fella that she loved. Not to mention that sparkly beauty of a ring… THE RING! My goodness is it amazing! The plan took a little fibbing to her and sneakyness but it was worth every single one. The look on her face was priceless and I’ve never seen her that happy before. I actually got to take a glimpse of Phillip as well and let me tell you, love looks great on him as well. I didn’t get to hear what he said but I do know that she was surprised and taken back. I also knew she said YES… that part wasn’t so quiet LOL. I am so blessed to have been included in this moment with Phillip and Audrey. I am also so blessed to have been given this gift and eye of photography. There is no greater gift that I could give to the ones that I love other than the loving memories we create and share to look back on and fall in love over and over again.

This location is dear to me. The people who own the property are very dear to me. I was so honored that they allowed us to plan this and to share this beautiful life they have built. Thank you to the Vickstroms (and I love you all very much!). This is where Jon Alan and I were married and I am over the moon that Phillip and Audrey will also marry there. I was a little jealous that I didn’t get to take photos of my own wedding there so this makes my heart very happy! I couldn’t ask for a better life or a better family. I love you all with all of my heart. Phillip, welcome to the family. I am so excited for you to grow and create memories with us. I also apologize in advance for stealing your soon to be wife away almost every Saturday evening for our weddings. We are a package deal though LOL.

Thank you both again for including me and loving me. I hope you all enjoy their moment as much as we all did. How beautiful is this place and this couple?
