Cheryl & Tyler are married and I can officially say that I’ve photographed a yacht wedding, it was epic! The National Elite Yacht by City Experiences at the National Harbor in Maryland is such a fun spot and I loved how different this “Venue” was. We even grabbed some snaps at the Gaylord which I’ve been to before and am absolutely obsessed with.
My absolute favorite thing about Cheryl is that she is ALL about the details. Like every detail! I walked into the bridal suite and she had already set up every detail item and design piece for me and I was like, what is this life!? and THOSE SHOES! The second favorite thing I loved was the emotion and connection to heirlooms Cheryl has. It’s my heart’s desire for everyone to appreciate and cling to those heirlooms and memories because Family is everything and I love that moment with someone as they share the story behind an heirloom piece.
My third favorite thing is how much Cheryl and Tyler both appreciate the importance of their photography. They gave me SO many portraits and if I’m being honest… I’ve never, in my over a decade of being a Photographer, ever photographed as many couple portraits as I got to do with these two. I was truly in my happy place with my happy couple and I could relive it over and over and over again if there was a time machine.
When Your Spring Date Arrives with Summer Heat
I want to take a moment to state the obvious that our May date showed up with intense summer heat and bright direct sun which everyone braved (thank you all for your patience and help every moment of it). My couple trusted me when I looked at them and asked if they minded if we went into a nearby parking garage. These photos are some of my top favorites and we had SO much fun. Don’t get me wrong, the National Elite Yacht photos are epic and incredible but I equally love the earlier set.
Also, here’s your sign to grab fun sun glasses or other fun props to incorporate during your portraits. Look at the JOY on their faces! I joked that I couldn’t get around that FIVE (5) posted at every direction and they high-fived for me which instantly made me laugh because they are just as creative and witty as I was. I truly appreciate such a fun go with the flow couple and the results of Cheryl and Tyler’s wedding day I captured are proof.
