Erin & Justin VMFA, Richmond VA

My favorite thing ever is when I meet new amazing people through my couples who’ve gotten married or had a session with me. Erin & Justin found me through tagged Instagram photos of mutual friends who happened to be one of my October 2019 couples. I am so thankful for my people who share their photos and tag me, it really does help me get to meet some amazing friends.

After navigating hectic schedules and the holidays we finally had a chance to chat on our phone date. I instantly fell in love and knew they were a perfect fit. I loved listening to how they met, how family was so important to them, and that the most important part about their wedding day was getting to spend as much time with their loved ones as they could and capturing those moments of being present. OH, MY HEART!

Erin’s wedding vision, style, & designs are really some of my favorites, I can’t wait to see their wedding day come together and celebrate with them.

Erin & Justin met me in Richmond where it was freezing, but we braved & conquered the cold. Winter sessions don’t bother me so much (although I am much more of a warm-weather girl for sure!), it gives me another reason for my couples to be EXTRA close.

If you’ve had a session with me then you know how this part goes HAHA.

These two were naturals and really just melted into one another. I was so excited and just in awe over every aspect of their engagement session. I love textures and layers in a photo and Erin really picked the most perfect locations, I had never visited the VMFA before so I was overjoyed in exploring this new location and the dreamy glowing light that we all wanted in their session.

Although their session was beautiful and more than I could have ever hoped for, my favorite part was getting to know them better and share bits of my life with them. These two are one hundred percent, my people. I instantly knew and felt the servant’s hearts they share with me while on our phone date and being together in person just solidified that even more. I can’t wait for you to see their session below!

Erin & Justin, I am so, so grateful for you both! I’m thinking and praying for you each day. Although we are at a time that is uncertain and has caused fear in many, I pray that you are still finding JOY in this season of your lives. Joy in knowing that you have found your person that God truly made just for you. Joy in the slow paces of life scattered in that we are all now experiencing and soaking up the time together to connect deeper and revisit the dreams you have in building your life as one.

I am so excited for your wedding day where I will stand with everyone you love to witness this commitment you will make and document it for you to cherish as well as so many generations to come after you!
