Katina & Stan Charlottesville VA

I mention all of the time how grateful and thankful I am for my people and I truly mean that with all of my heart. Words can never express how much I’ve been blessed by God in all areas of my life especially with my business and gift of photography. A little over a year ago I decided to gift a wedding experience to a couple that was not only a perfect fit but were deserving and had a beautiful story to share. I got nearly 50 entries of wonderful couples sharing their stories with me so you can imagine how difficult it was to narrow down to just one with so many GREAT people. Through this experience I got to know a few wonderful couples and have built a relationship with them! Katina & Stan from the very first word I read in their story captured my heart. When we scheduled their call so we could get to know one another a little better and I could learn more about their story I instantly fell in love with them. God clearly directed my heart to them and let me know that they were the perfect fit for this gift. It’s funny how he knows exactly what we need before we even do and already has plans in place to fulfill that need so much further than just wants.

Katina & Stan were married Sunday September 01, 2019 in Charlottesville Virginia at the beautiful Double Tree by Hilton. We had the most beautiful weather and day any of us could have asked for. Audrey and I were so moved by how humble Katina & Stan are as well as their families. There were so many smiles on everyones faces that this day had finally come after 2 years of planning. It was evident the lengths these two and their families had been through to get to this day and everyone was relieved and excited for these two to officially become Husband and Wife. A true testament of what unconditional love and patience is are these two. I was beyond excited when Katina told me they choose to do a first look. They wanted a special moment together before the day officially started and they wanted to see and celebrate with all of their loved ones prior to the ceremony. I was moved by the Officiants words and scripture during their ceremony, he touched on my most favorite teachings and nailed the verbiage in scripture often used in weddings I attend that have replaced old scripture with modern words. It was the perfect addition to their story.

It was clear that family was just in love with these two as Audrey and I became. Each person moved with excitement and love for this day that finally arrived and to celebrate this phenomenal couple and their journey that brought them to this day. Watching Katina with her 3 sons melted my heart. Being a boy Mom myself I could totally relate to their love and relationships. We all celebrated the night away, ate until we couldn’t move and even got some amazing evening portraits. Did I mention the speeches? The MOH and the Best Men KILLED it! Their words were filled with authentic and full love for these two and they even wrote a song for Katina and Stan which had the entire room moved to tears. Thank God for my camera I can hide behind when I get emotional. We danced the night away and heard a thousand and one thank you’s, got a thousand and two hugs, & left the evening with full hearts and new friends.

Katina & Stan I’m so grateful for you both and the fact that you invited Audrey and I into your lives to celebrate your love story and capture many many wonderful moments of your wedding day. Thank you for treating us as family and feeding us so well. Everything was perfect!
