I’ve taken on more large family sessions this year than I have since starting my business in 2010, and I’m not mad about it.

I’m an only child and so I’ve always longed for family and relationships so strong they could be blood. My husband is one of seven and I’ve grown up with them from my teenage years, they were always family even before we were married. I can remember the chaos and there never being any quiet when I was with them, it made me wish I had 6 siblings LOL.

The Dawson family was beyond fun! I loved spending my Friday evening with them at their private lakefront farm. It’s so beautiful there, I could photograph their land for the rest of my life!

I love seeing the joy that comes from family time. The children especially. There’s something about the way a child lights up being around cousins and aunts and uncles.

More than that, I love thinking about the memories being made and the stories they will tell as adults about the times spent together at Papaws and Kimmys growing up.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend together and I thank you again for including me in your family time. Enjoy these moments we captured and cherish them forever.
