Driskell Wedding

July 2, 2018

It’s no question that technology has taken over the world, and too often it is seen as a bad thing. However, the sweet wedding I had the opportunity to recently photograph shows the value that the internet really has. Geoff and Victoria met through an online dating site and hit it off instantly! They talked about their families, their dreams and their careers. It didn’t take long before the two realized they wanted to spend their forever with each other.
The wedding was held at the Historic Braehead Manor, Victoria and Geoff fell in love with the grounds and couldn’t image getting married anywhere else. The stained glass window that would hang behind them when they said their vows helped them to officially choose Historic Braehead Manor as their wedding venue. The wedding was absolutely beautiful (take a look at the gallery – the images speak for themselves!) Victoria’s brother’s girlfriend officiated and even made their wedding bands, which I found so unique!
After the couple said I do in front of their family and friends (most of the bride’s family traveling from New York) they went onto their reception! The tear jerker at the reception was when Geoff’s brother gave a toast, telling the whole room how instrumental Geoff had been in shaping him into the man, husband and father he was after Geoff’s father had passed away. It was really beautiful to see his brother giving testament to how hard Geoff worked to help take care of him. The reception was filled with so much fun and getting to spend time with family and the closest of friends. There were smiles and laughter everywhere you looked.
I loved getting to take part in such a beautiful wedding! Congratulations Geoff and Victoria, I wish you many years of pure happiness together!
