I can’t even begin to describe how awesome these two are. Everything about their wedding day was perfect, It’s like one of those love stories by Nicholas Sparks. You just couldn’t look away from them. The love these two have for one another is clearly all over their faces. I can’t remember or even see in photographs where either of them or their family/guests weren’t smiling. That included me as well. How lucky was I to have a bride that wanted her animals in the photos? A horse and two dogs to be specific. Everything turned out stunning.
This location was a private setting in Amelia, Virginia and the day couldn’t have been anymore perfect. I guess burying the bourbon really does work! I can’t tell you how many weddings I’ve gotten to attend as a guest or even photograph. Although I remember all of my couples and the amazing moments that happen in their day, this wedding will stick out to me for years to come because of a two things that I have never witnessed myself prior. I say all of the time how blessed I am to get to do what I love and have such amazing clients. I really do mean that. I don’t know how I get so lucky for the people that I get to meet and who become life friends. I can’t wait for so many more to come.
This day particularly I was in awe. Like stop in your tracks to pick your heart off of the floor and do all that you can to not cry tracks. Each wedding I make similar conversations to my couples. In an effort to keep their minds off the jitters or some mishap that is trying to be recovered behind the scenes. I always get the ” I’m so excited” or ” I just want to get it done with so I can relax” answers. Which are fine. When I asked the same question to both Robby and Kellie, neither of them knew the others response. There was no worry or talk about nerves or anxiety. No stress of what did or didn’t come out. They clearly both looked at me and asked how the other was doing, and expressed how excited they were to finally see one another. Putting themselves after the other and in genuine concern and love, they clearly were meant to be with one another.
The second thing was the breathtaking reaction that Robby had when he saw his bride for the very first time. In my 6 years of photographing weddings. I’ve not captured one like this before. There wasn’t a person there that didn’t gasp in awe when they saw Kellie or Robby’s reaction. I literally had to set my camera down and just witness and BE with them in that moment. To experience the love on his face that spread to each person there for this woman, his bride. This is what god’s creation of woman for man really looks like. It’s beautiful beyond explanation to me. I was so honored to be apart of their day and to spend time with family and friends who get to witness this day in and day out. I don’t think there was a person there that didn’t fully enjoy themselves and the love that was shared with all.
I hope that you enjoy a few favorites from Kellie and Robby’s wedding. It surely is one that I will hold dear to me for years to come. Kellie, I hope you had a fantastic birthday with your husband, and even more I hope you love your wedding gallery as much as I do!
Enjoy,
XOXO
